At Highbrook Aero Modellers, we’re always happy to welcome new members—whether you’re just starting out or returning to the skies after a break. Our friendly club members are here to offer guidance on selecting gear, assembling aircraft, and getting familiar with the flying side of the hobby. We also have qualified instructors ready to help you learn to fly using our club’s training aircraft.

Highbrook Aero Modellers Membership
2025 / 2026 MEMBERSHIP COST
Highbrook Aero Modellers (HAM) is proudly affiliated with Model Flying New Zealand (MFNZ). As part of this affiliation, all HAM members are required to hold current MFNZ membership. If you are not already a member of MFNZ, HAM will collect the applicable MFNZ membership fees during the joining process and register you with MFNZ on your behalf. If you are already an MFNZ member, you will not need to pay the MFNZ portion again—just provide your membership number during registration.
MFNZ membership includes comprehensive public liability insurance that covers flying activities, as well as a quarterly magazine filled with news, events, and updates from around the country. You can find out more about MFNZ by visiting their website here.
New members will be issued a gate key to access the flying field. A one-off bond payment is required for the key, which is refundable upon return. This ensures secure access for all members and helps maintain the safety of our flying site.
